  • Meetings and Programs
    Get acquainted with CEC members by attending a board meeting or program. Board meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. Everyone is welcome, and those who demonstrate a commitment to CEC may be invited to join the board. Upcoming meetings and events are listed on our Calendar and in our free newsletter.   • Volunteer
    Follow your passion and get involved with CEC! You might help with our annual Speaker Series, our Scholarship Program, our CEC Student Film Fest or our Youth Climate Ambassadors Leadership Program . Or perhaps you’d like to help advocate for new policies in the City of Burlingame and/or San Mateo County. We also invite you to participate in activities such as Bay cleanups, collaborations with local schools, tours of green facilities, staffing our Bike to Work Day Energizer Station and Peninsula Food Runners deliveries.

Help CEC When You Shop

Help support CEC by listing it as your favorite charitable organization on Amazon Smile and eScrip.

Amazon donates 0.5 percent of every sale to your favorite charitable organization. Click here to setup your Amazon Smile account and support CEC. You must navigate to Amazon Smile to activate your donations each time you shop on Amazon.
You can find the charity selection also on your Amazon account as “Account & Lists” in the upper right-hand corner and click on “Your AmazonSmile” in the drop-down menu. CEC is listed as “Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame Inc.”


eScrip partners with merchants who give back a percentage of purchases you make to the organizations you care about. Purchases are tracked through registered cards (store loyalty, credit/debit). To set up donations via eScrip, set up a free account and select “CEC Burlingame” as the organization you wish to support. Then register the credit card(s) that you usually use for checkout, or your merchant Community Card. For some merchants, you only need to register your email and phone number. Once you have an account, you can click on “Where to Earn” to see stores that honor the eScrip program and sign up for the ones you patronize.
