Saturday, April 13 2024, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Spring Plant Swap. On front porch of main Burlingame Public Library. How does it work? Just bring a plant and take a plant. All plants are welcome. In case of rain, this event will move inside the front door of the library.

Saturday, April 20 2024, 10 a.m.-noon. Planting a Garden with California Native Plants. Tech Room at Burlingame Public Library. Master Gardener Melissa Mason will give tips on native plans, then give a hands-on demonstration in the garden plot that was sheet-mulched last fall across the street at City Hall. Wednesday, April 24 2024, 6:30-8 p.m. 7th Annual CEC Student Film Fest. Burlingame High School Theater, 1 Mangini Way, Burlingame. Sponsored by the Citizens Environmental Council (CEC), Burlingame High School’s Burlingame Environmental Club and The Nueva School’s Social Impact Filmmaking Club. Entries will be screened and cash prizes will be awarded to student filmmakers in three age categories. To register and for more information, click here.

Sunday, June 2 2024, 11 a.m. to noon. Family Fun on the Bay Trail. CEC invites you to a family-friendly nature walk along San Francisco Bay. We’ll be picking up trash (plogging) as we go, so please bring gloves and a bucket if possible. CEC will provide free trash pickup kits, including grabbers and gloves for kids. No pre-registration is required. The hike will start at 1350 Bayshore Hwy. in Burlingame, with ample parking provided.
